President Trump makes surprise admission after announcing latest golfing achievement

Is this it for President Trump’s additions to his clubs’ honors boards?
Donald Trump is once again a club champion. (According to the man himself, at least.)
He also thinks it will be his “last”.
The US president posted on Truth Social on Sunday to announce the news.
“I just won the Golf Club Championship, probably my last, at Trump International Golf Club, in Palm Beach County, Florida,” the 78-year-old wrote.
“Such a great honor! The Awards dinner is tonight, at the Club. I want to thank the wonderful Golf Staff, and all of the many fantastic golfers, that participated in the even[t]. Such fun!”
The news came a day after the White House posted pictures of the president – in full golf getup – overseeing airstrikes he had ordered in Yemen.
But this is a golf website, so let’s not get into that.
It means a successful title defense for President Trump, who not only won the same competition last year, but the seniors’ version too.
He posted on X at the time: “I WON BOTH!”
Then president, Joe Biden, replied: “Congratulations, Donald. Quite the accomplishment.” The pair famously spent much of their first presidential debate last year arguing about who was the better golfer.
It’s not the first time Trump has had his golfing credentials questioned. Indeed, award-winning author Rick Reilly wrote a New York Times bestselling book on the subject: Commander in Cheat: How Golf Explains Trump.

In 2023, Trump boasted about winning the Senior Club Championship at his Florida resort, despite not showing up until the second round. Competitors, according to Mail Online, arrived on day two to find Trump’s name at the top of the leaderboard with a five-shot lead.
Trump also claimed to have won the equivalent tournament at Trump International in Bedminster, New Jersey, thanks to a round of 67. For context, only six players bettered that score on the same course at the LIV Golf event a few weeks earlier.
In total, the Trump Organization owns or manages 16 golf properties around the world, with three more on the way.
