2024 Women in Golf Awards: Celebrating women in the golf industry
Published:
Nominations are now open for the third annual Women in Golf Awards, where women from all areas of the golf industry will be recognised for their contributions to the sport.
On November 28th, professionals from the golf industry will gather at Foxhills Club & Resort to celebrate the achievements of this year’s Women in Golf Awards winners. Nominations for this esteemed event are now open across eight categories, with submissions closing at midnight on September 30th. These awards honor the contributions of women at every point in their careers and in all areas of the golf industry.
“The Women in Golf Awards unearth incredible stories and introduce us to just some of the remarkable women working across the industry,” says Nicole Wheatley, co-founder of the awards. “If you know a woman who is making a significant impact in the role that they hold, inspires you and others, or deserves acknowledgment for their contribution to golf, then please take the time to nominate her. Creating visibility of women excelling in their fields will encourage more to take up a career in golf. This is important because becoming more diverse will reap benefits for the industry as a whole.”
The categories and sponsors are:
- Unsung Hero, sponsored by England Golf
- Brand of the Year, sponsored by the BGIA
- International Woman, sponsored by Perry Ellis
- Women’s Initiative, sponsored by PING
- Women in Turfcare, sponsored by BIGGA
- Women PGA Professional, sponsored by TGI Golf Partnership
- Women’s Leadership, sponsored by the GCMA
- Rising Star, sponsored by Club Car
You can submit nominations at womeningolfawards.co.uk until the deadline at midnight on September 30th. Nominators will need to provide reasons for their nominations and share examples of the nominee’s influence within their field. A panel of judges will select three finalists in each category, all of whom will be invited to attend the awards ceremony at Foxhills on November 28th, where the winners will be revealed.
There are a limited number of public tickets available, with the ballot for the free places still open over on womeningolfawards.co.uk, with a limited number of discounted tickets due to go on sale in October.
