10 Reasons to buy the latest issue of Today’s Golfer
You might think today’s top players are golfing superheroes; smashing drives 350 yards, hitting 6-irons to tap-in range and chipping it to a foot every single time… But once upon a time, they were just like us; mid-handicappers wanting to improve. Lots, too, have been PGA pros, dishing out lessons on a weekday morning before heading out on the road to chase the Tour dream at the weekend.
So, if you think you can’t learn something from the world’s best players, you’re mistaken. And this month, we’ve got 101 nuggets of advice from many of the top-100 golfers on the planet (plus a couple of legends and current coaches). There are some brilliant tips from page 55. You may not be able to bomb it 325 on the fly like Rory or Dustin, but you can try Justin Rose’s favourite putting drill in the five minutes before you tee off this weekend…

The Good Grip Guide
When was the last time you thought about new grip technology and the impact that your only connection to your club can have on your game? It’s the only link between our body and the club, so why don’t we give grips the attention they deserve? Worn or slick grips – the kind you see all the time on the tee at your club – will have a major impact on your scores. General usage, oils on your hands, UV light, dirt, whether you wear a glove and other natural elements will wear down the rubber in your grips, just like a car’s tyres.
Over time, grips tend to lose their tackiness and traction and the more you play, the more you should replace your grips. Holding a slick grip tighter will cut club speed and cost distance. Worn grips may also slip, causing a loss of accuracy. If any of that sounds familiar, here’s everything you need to know about choosing and replacing a new set of grips, including which models might suit you best.
