Rickie Fowler’s Arnold Palmer shoes up for auction
Last updated:
Rickie Fowler and PUMA Golf are to auction off custom golf shoes in tribute to the legendary Arnold Palmer, with proceeds going to support Arnie’s Army Charitable Foundation.
By now, everyone will have seen Rickie Fowler sporting a pair of commemorative PUMA Golf IGNITE Hi-Tops at Bay Hill that feature iconic images of the seven-time Major champion.
In addition to the shoes, Fowler will pay tribute to the King in the first Arnold Palmer Invitational since his passing by wearing the distinguishable umbrella logo on his hat and polo shirt.
Fowler took to social media on Tuesday to show off his new shoes in preparation for the event at Bay Hill Golf Club and Lodge this week.
The custom PUMA Golf Hi-Tops were designed and created by Dominic Chambrone, also known as The Shoe Surgeon, as commissioned by PUMA Golf. Only two pairs of the shoes exist – one Rickie will wear, and the other, personally autographed by Rickie, will be auctioned off for charity. All proceeds from the auction will go to support Arnie’s Army Charitable Foundation.
“I feel privileged to have known Arnie and be able to call him a friend.” Fowler said.
“I wanted to do something to celebrate what he did on the course and more importantly how he used his platform to benefit others through his Foundation. He is the King after all!!”
