Golf Tourism England have released five stunning videos displaying England’s greatest golf courses in a bid to inspire more golfers to visit some of the world’s most historic courses.
Focusing on locations such as past Ryder Cup venues in Yorkshire to the spectacular regions of the Atlantic coast, the short mini-series beautifully displays golf in England at it’s very best and is designed to capture the essence of golf up and down the country.
Andrew Cooke, CEO Golf Tourism England said “We hope that these videos will convey to golfers from all over the world just how special and varied England’s golf courses are, and that having watched these clips, more people will be not only be encouraged to take to our stunning courses, but at the same time experience what these regions have to offer away from the course.”
The first video to be released was England’s Golf Coast, which focuses on historic links courses and includes Royal Birkdale and Royal Lytham & St. Annes – both of which are on the Open rota.
The second to be released in the series featured Kent, which is host to over 100 golf courses with a mix of historic championship links, coastal courses and inland materpieces. Prince’s Golf Club, Royal St. George’s and Royal Cinque Ports star in this video – as courses which have collectively held the Open Championship 17 times.
Following in the vein of historic courses, the next video moved its focus northbound to Yorkshire, identifying the locations of past Ryder Cup venues.
The fourth video is nothing less than a spectacular mapping of courses on England’s Atlantic coast. With a tantalising trail of six premier championship links courses that includes Burnham & Berrow and Royal North Devon, it is no surprise Visit England claims the south east has quickly established itself as one of the premier golfing destinations in the UK.
The final video in the series showcases the Surrey Heathland region as one of the finest to play golf in England.
