Tiger Woods reveals new public course and swings club in the process

Tiger Woods hit his first public shots in over two months last night, at an event in Missouri to launch his first public course. The former world number one refused to be drawn into a return date though. The 14-time major champion has not played since pulling out of the Omega Dubai Desert Classic event two months ago because of back spasms. Woods hit two shots into a par three at his under-construction course. The first shot he hit was from a makeshift tee and bounced off the rocks that will guard the green once the course is completed. His second shot was within ten feet of the pin. See the swings below

The back is progressing,” said Woods. “I have good days and bad days. I’ve had three back operations and that’s just kind of the nature of the business unfortunately. That’s all I can say.” Woods’ new course will open in 2019 and will honour the late Missourian Payne Stewart. The course will be named Payne Valley in the two time major champion’s honour.
