Andrew “Beef” Johnston earns PGA Tour card

Andrew “Beef” Johnston locked up his PGA TOUR card Sunday.

The 27-year-old bagged a solo fourth place finish at the Albertsons Boise Open presented by Kraft Nabisco, the second of four Web.com Tour Finals events in which 25 PGA TOUR cards are handed out to the top-25 finishers on the Web.com Tour Finals money list.

With rounds of 66-63-70-68—267 (-17), Johnston earned $48,000 and is up to sixth on the Finals money list with $54,910 in earnings through two events.

As for his plans to celebrate securing his TOUR card: “A few sodas! (Laughs). Yeah, I think there will be a Coke or a Fanta or something like that. Nah, there’s going to be a few beers, man!”
