Want tickets for the 2017 Masters? Be quick… the ballot closes soon!

The dust has barely settled on Danny Willett’s surprise Masters victory, but if you want to be at Augusta National to watch the Yorkshireman defend the title next year, you’d better get your application in quick. The application process for 2017 Masters tickets is already open and closes at the end of May.
If you want to be in with a chance of grabbing the hottest ticket in golf, head to tickets.masters.com, where you’ll need to create an account and wait up to 24 hours for a verification email (ours came almost immediately). Once your account has been created and verified, you will be able to apply for the types of tickets you’re after.
A practice round ticket for Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday costs $65, while a ticket for one of the tournament days costs $100. Very reasonable, especially when you consider some people pay £60,000 for the chance to play Augusta!
The application deadline for tournament day tickets is 31 May 2016. You have slightly longer to apply for practice day tickets, which have a deadline of 25 June 2016.
If you apply for tournament tickets, you will be notified via email in mid-June whether or not you have been successful.
For practice day tickets, you’ll find out in mid-July, again via email.
Interestingly, and disappointingly, the FAQs state that “you may apply for any and all days, however, applicants may win only one day”. So, if you want more than a day trip, you’ll need to book a package deal that gets you in for the whole week.
YourGolfTravel has Masters packages starting around £2,400 that include tickets for the week, as well as flights, hotel, car hire and a round of golf.
