Coming soon! The world’s largest indoor golf centre

As a nation, we do love to complain about on-course conditions, so the thought of a weather-independent golf centre is enough to set pulses racing.
But what may seem like a fantasy could actually turn into reality.
Indoor Golf Solutions is currently seeking an investor to build the world’s largest indoor golf centre.
Ambitious? You bet! But there’s something weird and wonderful about the futuristic look of the Indoor Golf Arena, which seems to resemble a spaceship.
Before you ask, there won’t be an adventure golf course in sight.
Rather, the complex will house 20 Foresight Sports golf simulators, a two-tier driving range with 44 bays and 102,250 sq ft of undulating synthetic grass facilities with bunkers and water hazards.
Visitors will even be able to stay in a four star hotel on site, which is expected to encompass a conference centre, wellness and fitness facilities and a restaurant, bar and lounge area.
If the project takes off, the arena will be erected in the Netherlands, conveniently situated near to Amsterdam Schiphol Airport.
But if you don’t fancy hopping on a flight or ferry, you may still be able to visit a smaller centre in the UK.
Although the company’s initial focus is on other “hotspot” locations, MD Jon Standing has not ruled out the prospect of bringing the concept to the UK.
“There’s certainly a market for it,” he says. “A number of potential UK clients have shown interest in the development of smaller, high-end indoor golf centres, which could possibly be considered a satellite of an Indoor Golf Arena.
“But a lot rests on the ability to find investment and a suitable location.”
