Reflo have unveiled a limited edition ‘Giants’ apparel collection in conjunction with The Open ahead of July’s tournament in Royal Portrush.

Sustainable sportswear brand Reflo has teamed up with The Open to reveal something legendary: The Giant’s Capsule. This limited-edition collection celebrates not just golf, but the land, legends, and lore of Northern Ireland – specifically the towering myth of Finn McCool and the iconic Giant’s Causeway.

Launching ahead of the 153rd Open at Royal Portrush, the capsule blends folklore with fashion. Inspired by the mythical Giant’s Causeway and the legend of Irish giant Finn McCool, you can expect sleek silhouettes and premium performance fabrics. Think polos, mid-layers, hoodies and caps, all made from Reflo’s signature recycled materials, designed to move with you whether you’re lining up a birdie or heading to the clubhouse.

Reflo co-founder Rory MacFadyen explained the story behind the collaboration.

“The Open isn’t just a golf tournament,” he said. “It’s where legends are made. With the Giant’s Capsule, we wanted to honour the mythical spirit of Finn McCool and the raw beauty of the Portrush coastline, while celebrating the modern giants of the game preparing to battle it out on the links. We’ve designed each piece to carry that story. Built with purpose, rooted in sustainability, and ready to perform. We’re delighted to be working alongside The Open and look forward to activating the partnership throughout tournament week, bringing the collection to life where history, myth, and sport collide.”

Backing the drop is none other than Harry Kane, Reflo ambassador, investor, and England men’s football captain, who appears in the campaign wearing the new gear. A known advocate for environmental causes, Kane lends star power and authenticity to the launch.

Matt Tomlinson, head of retail, merchandise & licensing at The R&A, added: “It is very exciting for us to welcome Reflo as an Official Licensee of The Open. Our shared commitment to sustainability when considering product ranges, coupled with a natural desire to tell stories through merchandise have helped us create an incredibly exciting, limited edition collection for our fans this summer.”

Reflo partner with The Open to launch new Giant's clothing collection

In keeping with Reflo’s mission, every item in the collection is made using recycled materials and supports planet-friendly initiatives like tree planting and water conservation.

With only 500 pieces of each item available, this is strictly limited edition. The collection launches on June 17, 2025, and will be available exclusively at The Open’s Official Merchandise Shop at Royal Portrush and online via the Open and Reflo websites.

Let’s take a look at some of the collection…

Built in The Open’s signature navy and featuring a back graphic that carries the campaign’s defining line - Where Giants Play - it’s the most direct visual link to the capsule’s purpose. Crafted from premium recycled fleece libed fabric with a structured silhouette for pre-round focus or post-round recovery.
A camo-like microprint, draws directly from the geometric patterns of the Giant’s Causeway. This is design rooted in Northern Ireland’s legend, a place Where Giants Play, executed with precision. Made from breathable, recycled fabric with lightweight stretch, this polo is built to perform under pressure, but designed to stand apart from the crowd.
Built for versatility, but grounded in the capsule’s mythic story. Its clean body contrasts with printed sleeves inspired by the Giant’s Causeway. The tonal graphic wraps around the arms like stone columns, creating motion and depth from a static formation. Named after Skerries Point, a small group of rocky islands just outside Portrush, this is the most technical layering piece in the range.
Named after the dramatic cliffside ruins of Dunluce Castle, this cap is the finishing touch of the Giants Capsule. Its tonal colourway and curved peak pair easily with any look, but it’s the subtle embroidery and exclusive badge that make it part of the story.
