Platform Golf edges indoor golf closer to the course after multi-million dollar rebrand

The investment sees Platform Golf take a significant step toward its mission of transforming the game by revolutionizing off-course play and instruction.

The evolution of the pioneering golf technology company aims to address the experience gap in the booming indoor golf simulation market by allowing players to make real putts on a tilting green and enabling approach shots from uneven lies.

The patented putting and full-swing training platform integrates with nearly every golf technology, elevating the accuracy and true-to-life experience for players and coaches in golf clubs, resorts, social venues, and private residences worldwide.

Thomas Hackett, co-founder and CEO of Platform Golf, said: “Our transformation to Platform Golf marks a pivotal new era. The updated branding, name, and visual identity combined with this significant investment in innovation and our team will accelerate our mission to transform golf by empowering players, coaches, and golf technology.

“Integrating seamlessly with key golf technology, our platforms will be instrumental in helping bring the most accurate, true-to-life, 360-degree experience to players and instructors around the globe.”

The new brand will also introduce an experiential platform and digital community where instructors and enthusiasts can connect, train, and compete.

Platform Golf’s global ambitions have been backed financially by some of the most influential investors in golf, most notably, David Shapiro of KPS Capital Partners, LP, and Keith Bank of KB Partners. Additional SPVs were formed in the US by Liquidity Ventures and Internationally via Circle Rock Capital.

The capital will be used to fuel long-term growth, onboard a world-class executive team, and invest in future cutting-edge products and services.

Two of golf’s best-known instructors – Brad Faxon and Stephen Sweeney – have also thrown their weight behind the company, which has a 10-year heritage of delivering world-class performance solutions in its former guises as Putting Perfection Flatorms from 2014, and then Perfection Platforms from 2017.

Platform Golf products can be found at major club-fitting venues across the globe including GolfTec and Tru Spec Golf, as well as at the headquarters of leading golf manufacturers such as TaylorMade and Cobra Golf. Additionally, Platform Golf is the trusted instructional putting and training platform for most of the top NCAA collegiate golf programs, including Arizona State, Yale, the University of Virginia, and the University of California Berkeley.
