Fine-tune your short game with these fully customizable putters, here’s everything you need to know about the new Mizuno M.Craft X putters
Mizuno have definitely sparked my interest with their new M.Craft X putters because of how much customization is possible and how straightforward it is to find the perfect combination for your putting. This new range of Mizuno putters is certainly capable of challenging the best putters in the game.
For most golfers, Odyssey and Scotty Cameron are considered to be the best in the business when it comes to putters. But, could Mizuno join the conversation? Mizuno have brought a completely new concept to the table with their latest range of M.Craft X putters. They’re allowing you to tailor your putter to fit your exact stroke by offering three different back shapes, three varying neck styles, and interchangeable weights.
Whether you play with a blade putter or a mallet putter, you should be able to find a combination that works for you within the new M.Craft X putter family because they have been designed to feel like a blade while having the forgiveness of a mallet. Even if you currently putt with a super-forgiving putter (like me), within this new range of Mizuno putters you will find a setup that suits your putting.
Every year, we test hundreds of putters in order to find the best models on the market that’ll help improve your game. In 2025, I can see the M.Craft X putters being popular because of how easily adjustable they are, which is something you don’t normally get at the bottom end of your bag.
The M.Craft X is a seamless blend of Mizuno’s heritage of precision forging and modern performance technology. Its sleek design and fully adjustable features provide golfers with a putter that’s both a work of art and a performance powerhouse.
Key technology of the Mizuno M.Craft X putters
Blade-like CG Depth
A dynamically shallow center of gravity (CG) provides the swing feel of a smaller, blade-style putter, enhancing control and finesse.
Mallet-like stability
The larger head design, combined with customizable weights, ensures unmatched forgiveness and stability for off-center strikes.
CNC-Milled Face
A CNC-Milled Face offers precise consistency across the striking surface, ensuring dependable roll and speed control.
Forged and milled construction
The forged face and neck is crafted from a single piece of 1025 steel to ensure exceptional feel and responsiveness. The CNC-milled aluminum back provides lightweight stability and improved MOI to enhance forgiveness without compromising the tactile experience.
Key adjustable features of the Mizuno M.Craft X putters
Three neck styles
There are three neck styles to choose from in the Mizuno M.Craxt X putter range – plumber, slant, and bend. With three options available, you can match the neck to your preferred putting stroke.
Three back shapes
Select from three back shapes to create your ideal head shape for alignment and stability, while also adjusting the CG to optimize balance during your stroke.
Interchangeable weights
With the Mizuno M.Craft X putters, there are three pairs of interchangeable weights to choose from as a means of further refining the feel and swing dynamics of the putter. The three weight options are 7g, 14g, and 21g.
What head shapes are available in the Mizuno M.Craft X putter range
Four
The Four back shape has straight edges which makes it look different from your typical mallet putter. The central contrasting white line runs halfway through the putter head, and at that point, two perpendicular white lines sit on the raised area of the head.
Five
A much more recognizable mallet shape with the Five. It’s a deep mallet with a contrasting white line running throughout the entirety of the putter head.
Six
The Six is also a very familiar putter style. Most golfers will refer to this as a fang shape with the center of the back shape being cut out. There aren’t any contrasting white lines on this back shape, but you can easily line up using the cut out in the putter head.
