With the new season upon us, there isn’t a better time to refresh your grips – and what better way to do it than with a splash of Augusta National?

There isn’t much that gets us more excited for the next trip down Magnolia Lane than when equipment manufacturers start releasing Masters-inspired gear. And Golf Pride are among the best at it.

Ahead of the 89th battle for the Green Jacket, the grip specialists have revealed their 2025 Honorary Starter Collection.

Golf Pride have released a new grips to honor the Masters at Augusta National.

The first Masters champion to use Golf Pride was Gay Brewer way back in 1967. Since then, 44 more winners have used the brand’s grips en route to slipping into the most famous item of clothing in sport.

The 2025 Honorary Starter Collection, Golf Pride say, features a thoughtfully designed Tour Velvet as well as a themed Reverse Taper putter grip.

The Tour Velvet is available in both standard and midsize options and tastefully showcases a vibrant azalea design that is contrasted against a dark green body with pops of white detailing for a refined and classic look.

For the flat stick, Golf Pride created a special version of its medium pistol Reverse Taper which brings to life the iconic visual sights found around Augusta.

“The Honorary Starter Collection celebrates Golf Pride’s rich & victorious history with designs that encapsulate the iconic imagery that makes our first major one of the most compelling weeks in professional golf,” Golf Pride president James Ledford explained. “We are honored that over 40 past champions and 90 percent of the 2025 field choose Golf Pride to have in their hands when it matters most.”

The Tour Velvet grips come with an RRP of $8.49/£9 each, and the Reverse Taper grip is priced at $34.99/£35.
