Fujikura releases VENTUS HB shafts for 2025, introduces ultra-lightweight VENTUS White

When the most popular shaft in the professional game brings out new lines, we’re always interested. With the new Fujikura VENTUS White and HB models though, there’s an interesting new direction being taken.

When I covered the release of the Fujikura VENTUS Red and Black shafts last year, I was seriously impressed. Far more than just an update to the paint scheme, Fujikura produced a refined and reiterated version of the material engineering that has been, quite literally, at the center of their success on professional Tours and with the aftermarket golf enthusiast.

Now, leveraging that updated VeloCore+ technology, Fujikura are bringing four new VENTUS models to market in 2025. The first three are a selection of specifically designed Hybrid shafts in the Red, the Black, and the original Blue profiles to compliment the rescue woods and driving irons of golfers who have already seen the benefits of switching to VENTUS in their drivers and fairways already.

The final of the four, and the most intriguing, is the VENTUS White wood shaft. Offering the high level of stability that Fujikura VENTUS is known for while presenting a lightweight, easy-to-swing profile to help maximize the power of more moderate swing speeds, VENTUS White may be the final step towards making the VENTUS family the all-encompassing shaft line it has always threatened to be.

Fujikura Ventus White and Ventus HB shafts feature VeloCore+ technology

Fujikura VENTUS HB

Fujikura have labeled the new VENTUS HB series as the highest performance hybrid shaft to date. It will be available in the iconic colorways of the lowest-launch Black profile and the mid-launch Blue profiles, and now the hybrid collection will include the higher-launching Red model to provide even more options and versatility for club fitters and players to experiment with.

Each profile is backed up by VeloCore+, the updated version of the original powerhouse technology that debuted back in 2018. Fujikura say that golfers will see faster speeds, more accuracy, and reliably consistent performance from the enhanced stability built into the design.

“Hybrids and utility irons are a critical part of every golfer’s bag, and VENTUS HB was designed with this in mind,” Chad Embrey, Fujikura Golf’s global sales manager, said. “With the introduction of VeloCore+ and our innovative 3-profile system, VENTUS HB brings the trusted performance of the VENTUS product line into a new category.”

Fujikura VENTUS White

Fujikura VENTUS White is utilizing the same VeloCore+ as the HB and other VENTUS models, but in a new format for the VENTUS family.

Previously, the softest option in the model was the Red 5 R2-flex, but even then you were looking at 59 grams of weight when uncut. The all-new White profile’s heaviest option will be a 40g shaft in an S-flex, giving golfers a clear insight into the thinking behind the VENTUS White profile.

The White will feature a softer handle section, backed up by an increase to a medium-strength mid-section and a firm tip. The profile is meant to allow the shaft to accelerate more easily than before, while still having the stability of the VeloCore+ to back up off-center strikes.

“VENTUS White represents the next chapter of innovation in the lightweight category for Fujikura,” says Embrey. “This profile was designed for players who desire a lightweight shaft that maximizes speed, launch, and spin, without sacrificing the consistency and stability that VENTUS has become synonymous with. We’re very excited to offer golfers and fitters an additional unique profile in the VENTUS line-up.”

The new VENTUS HB collection and VENTUS White will be available at authorized Fujikura Charter Dealers and custom fitting locations beginning February 24th, 2025.
