New Wilson Dynapower drivers – which of the three models is best for you?

By , Golf Equipment Writer

Dynapower like you’ve never seen it before! Wilson are delivering faster ball speeds in a smart and sophisticated head.

Wilson are heading into “A New Era”. It all starts with their 2025 Dynapower family of golf clubs. Dynapower is a familiar name for Wilson, it was first introduced in 1956 and in 2023 Wilson announced their entire range would consist of Dynapower-named clubs – as is the case again in 2025.

In order to challenge the best drivers in the game, Wilson have decided to engineer three Dynapower heads – one more than the two they released in 2023. Wilson have continued with the Carbon head, but they’ve dropped the Titanium in favor of a Max and LS head. Providing golfers of all abilities the chance to slot a Wilson driver in the bag.

Marcus McCaine, Global Marketing Director said, “I think one of the things about the Dynapower name is that it has so much good equity in the game itself.

“Through product design and innovation, we really have created something new in the space.”

Whether you’re looking for a low-spin driver or a forgiving driver, you don’t have to compromise with the new Dynapower range because there are three heads to choose from, and all three heads can be adjusted to work for your game.

“We have been on a relentless pursuit to design a driver family that suits the largest range of golfers, and these new models are by far the most advanced drivers Wilson has ever produced,” said Jon Pergande, Director, Global R&D and Product.

“We’ve listened to feedback from tour staff, top amateur and mid-to-single handicap golfers and we’re confident that the legendary Dynapower franchise is entering a new formidable era.

“Along with the drivers’ visual appeal, adjustability, and sound were key priorities for us in the early stages of design. We experimented with multiple designs and optimized performance by removing inefficient material from the hosel structure to save weight and free up the heel side of the face. This adjustment allowed the face to flex more, resulting in a larger sweet spot, increased ball speeds, and greater forgiveness.

“For the sound, we tested up to 40 optimized parameters across the face and surrounding geometries, using more than 2,000 face designs per driver model. This process is equivalent to creating 2,000 tools in order to balance mass properties, structural design, and sound. The result, we believe, is the best-sounding drivers Wilson has ever made.

“We have three very disparate clubs, they are further apart I think in character than we’ve had in the past and it truly provides an opportunity to hone in on the needs of any one specific golfer.”

Wilson golf clubs have evolved drastically over recent years thanks to serious engineering and technical advancements. What technology has been incorporated into the 2025 Wilson Dynapower driver heads?

Wilson Dynapower Drivers: Key technology

PKR-360

This is the vehicle for speed. The AI-driven PKR-360 has a vast number of optimizable face and body locations specific to each driver head to create a larger sweet spot and generate faster ball speeds across the face.

The PKR-360 in the Carbon head works to balance ball speed across the face with quicker ball speed from a central strike, in the LS, it works to maximize ball speed in the center of the face, and it works in the Max to minimize variance at all impact locations.

Open Hosel Construction

Wilson have removed inefficient material from the hosel infrastructure to allow the face to flex more. The result of this is a winning combination – a larger sweet spot, faster ball speeds, and more forgiveness.

Every Wilson DYNAPWR Driver has the ability to be fine-tuned for your game thanks to the maximum workability available

Full Adjustability

All driver models have six-way adjustable hosels and interchangeable weights. The two weights in the Carbon head are 3g and 9g, the two in the LS head are 6g and 12g, and the flippable weight in the Max head is 19g.

Powerful Sound

Precision rib placement throughout the body of the clubhead guarantees a powerful, appealing sound. Wilson used topology optimization to engineer the perfect sound regardless of strike location.

Optimized Aerodynamic Shaping

Each of the three driver heads has a distinct shape that has been aerodynamically optimized. The Carbon head sports a dropped crown with a flatter sole, the LS head features a deep face with a raised skirt, and the Max head is optimally proportioned to provide speed and stability.

Wilson Dynapower Carbon Driver

The Dynapower Carbon driver head offers the best of both worlds – forgiveness and workability. Thanks to the six-way adjustable hosel and two interchangeable weights on the sole of the driver head, you can manipulate the launch and spin extremely easily.

With the input of Wilson Tour staff, the Carbon driver has been designed to look compact at address, provide players with ample forgiveness from the 460cc head, and deliver fast ball speeds to maximize distance.

Wilson DYNAPWR LS 2025 driver head sole

Wilson Dynapower LS Driver

In theory, the low-spin driver should be perfect for a golfer like me because it’s designed to eliminate the left side of the golf course. The Dynapower LS is the most compact and deepest head at 445cc. The tour-inspired design delivers maximum clubhead speed, control, and adjustability without sacrificing ball speed.

Using optimized aerodynamic shaping, the LS sports a faster, more streamlined raised skirt and curved crown. This reduces drag, allowing the head to cut through the air and increase clubhead speed.

For maximum workability, the LS head is equipped with two weights that can be swapped around to allow for customizable launch and spin with added forgiveness. Factor in the six-way adjustable hosel too and you have a substantial amount of adjustability to optimize face angle and shot shaping ability.

Wilson DYNAPWR 2025 Max Driver head sole

Wilson Dynapower Max Driver

The Dynapower Max is the most forgiving head of the three, thanks to the stability-driven shaping. This has increased front-to-back and heel-to-toe length, providing for a higher-than-ever MOI for the straightest tee shots.

For maximum forgiveness and draw-biased control, there’s a rear weight that can be flipped to fine-tune a fade and help deliver straighter tee shots. More adjustability can be had using the 6-way adjustable hosel.

Unlike the Carbon and LS, the Max sports an all-titanium-designed head.

Wilson DYNAPWR Carbon 2025 Fairway Wood addressing the ball view from behind

Wilson Dynapower Fairway Woods: Key technology

PKR-360

Wilson’s AI-driven PKR-360 optimizes both fairway woods with multiple sweet spots. This piece of technology creates a larger sweet spot and drives higher ball speeds everywhere across the face.

The PKR-360 works in the Carbon fairway wood to balance ball speed across the face with a high ball speed on central strikes. Whereas, in the Max fairway wood, it works to minimize variance at all impact locations.

Forged Construction

The custom 455 face material provides strength and high ball speeds, as well as delivering a great feel shot after shot.

Wilson Dynapower Fairway Woods: How the two models differ and their specs

Wilson DYNAPWR 2025 Carbon Fairway Wood head sole

Wilson Dynapower Carbon Fairway Wood

Although the Wilson Dynapower Carbon isn’t a low-spin fairway wood, it’s designed to produce a penetrating ball flight with less spin. A front, 30g, tungsten weight helps to deliver this while maintaining forgiveness. If you desire a higher or even lower ball flight, the six-way adjustable hosel can be manipulated for maximum workability.

The lightweight carbon crown improves weight distribution to position the CG lower in the head. Also, by removing inefficient material from the hosel infrastructure the face is able to flex more, which results results in a larger sweet spot, higher ball speeds, and more forgiveness.

“We’re incredibly excited about the all-new Dynapower metal wood range, and when golfers compare it to their current models, they will notice a significant uplift in performance and looks,” said Pergande.

Wilson DYNAPWR 2025 Max Fairway Wood head sole

Wilson Dynapower Max Fairway Wood

For golfers seeking stability and forgiveness from their fairway wood, the Dynapower Max is the ideal option. The ball launches high thanks to a rear, 12g weight. This weight also promotes a towering ball flight to maximize carry distance.

Wilson have used a thin-cast steel crown to improve weight distribution. By doing this they have positioned the CG lower and further back, creating a very stable design. This helps to create a tight dispersion.

Wilson DYNAPWR 2025 Hybrid addressing the ball view from above

Wilson Dynapower Hybrid: Key technology

PKR-360

The AI-driven PKR-360 has created multiple sweet spots because there are more optimizable face and body locations. In turn, this drives faster ball speeds everywhere across the face.

Forged Construction

The custom 455 face material provides strength and high ball speeds, and consistently produces a great feel after every shot.

New Face Shaping

New face shaping comes from the compact head design paired with an extended low-toe area. This has created a larger hitting surface and provides stability on toe shots, providing golfers with extra confidence to approach greens from a distance.

Wilson Dynapower Hybrid: Specs and information
