New Wilson Dynapower irons: Two fast and forgiving heads for you to consider in 2025
Published:
The game-improvement iron category just got even more competitive with the introduction of two Wilson Dynapower iron sets. Will you choose Dynapower or Dynapower Max?
Wilson have unveiled their newest range of golf clubs – Dynapower. The Dynapower name is very poignant for Wilson, having first been used nearly 70 years ago, in 1956. Dynapower returned in 2023 and it’s been improved for 2025. Both models should challenge the game’s best irons and most forgiving irons.
With more Major Championship victories than any other company, Wilson are the most successful golf brand. This is largely due to their history of manufacturing quality golf irons, and they continuously challenge the best irons at a very reasonable price.
That remains the case in 2025 with Dynapower. This year, Wilson are offering golfers the choice of two iron sets to pick from – Dynapower and Dynapower Max. Providing golfers with two sets of irons within the family allows more golfers to play Dynapower and find the best setup for their game.
Although Wilson are continuing with the Dynapower name, they are entering “A New Era”, which all starts with this year’s irons, along with the Dynapower drivers, fairway woods, and hybrid. The 2025 irons have been re-engineered from the inside out so every golfer can enjoy the sensation of pureing an iron shot.
Both the standard and Max Dynapower iron models combine distance and power to continue the legendary dynasty into its most formidable era.
“They are both very much game improvement clubs that help people play better,” said Jon Pergande, Director, Global R&D and Product.
“We’ve taken the design process from the successful Dynapower family since it re-launched two years ago and added even more innovation to create two brand new irons for the game-improvement and game-improvement plus categories.
“The game-enhancing technologies incorporated throughout add up to deliver greater ball speed, more forgiveness and control to make the game more enjoyable.
“The loft structure and wider sole that we built for Dynapower Max provides forgiveness height to create distance, while Dynapower has a slightly stronger loft structure and reduced offset for those players with a traditional eye that still want to maximise distance.”
Wilson Dynapower Irons: Key technology
PKR-CUP
The PKR-CUP is a new cup face design that’s been combined with Wilson’s AI-generated Variable Face Technology to optimize ball speed, distance, and deliver consistent launch windows.
Velocity Optimization Channel
The Velocity Optimization Channel (VTC) is located in the sole and behind the face. This acts as a hinge area, allowing the face to flex in order to transfer as much energy into the golf ball as possible and maximize ball speeds.
Energy Transfer Chassis
Designed to support the PKR-CUP face, the Energy Transfer Chassis (ETC), is located at the back of the iron and it creates a virtual hollow body construction for improved face stability and sound. This frame assists the perimeter of the face to deliver quick ball speeds by transferring energy from the swing into the golf ball effectively.
Low Center of Gravity & high MOI
The Center of Gravity (CG) is low in both iron heads and it helps to deliver high MOI, this is what makes both heads forgiving. In addition to improving forgiveness, low CG promotes a higher launch and increases stopping power.
Head Specific Construction
The Dynapower iron sports a hollow body construction, which enables optimal weight distribution, which allows golfers to unlock maximum distance and forgiveness.
Whereas, the Dynapower Max iron features an open-heel construction whereby mass is pushed toward the sole and toe to increase launch and forgiveness.
Wilson Dynapower Irons: Which head will you choose?
Wilson Dynapower Irons
The new Dynapower irons have been designed to increase distance and forgiveness, assist golfers in generating quicker ball speeds, and unlock extreme distances while maintaining incredible stopping power and improving spin.
“If you’re hitting the ball clean, in the middle of the face, it’s perfect for you to pick up a Dynapower iron,” said Pergande.

Wilson Dynapower Max Irons
The all-new Dynapower Max places an emphasis on forgiveness by offering more MOI than the Dynapower iron head. You can still expect outstanding performance from the Max head with added confidence being instilled at address thanks to the larger profile.
Pergande said, “A player that perhaps struggles to hit the middle of the club face or struggles to generate their club at speed we are doing everything we can to get the ball up in the air and for perhaps not the greatest strikes or the fastest strikes that’s really where the Dynapower Max comes in.”
