Craghoppers have launched a high-tech golf apparel range.

Craghoppers have turned their expertise to golf apparel – with the brand’s industry-leading technology high on the agenda.

For 60 years, Craghoppers have been making world-class, high-performance outdoor wear. Now, they are moving into golf.

Craghoppers have spotted an important gap in the market for golfers who play in areas with long grass, near water, and in warmer climates where biting insects thrive.

As a result, they have bought their own industry-leading NosiLife insect repellent technology to golf.

Built into the fabric of the garment and proven to be effective at warding off insects including mosquitos, midges, ticks and more, the NosiLife technology lasts the lifetime of the garment and comes from a  plant-based source.

But Craghoppers’ are also conscious that golf apparel needs to be flexible, and this is achieved with a lightweight stretch fabric to ensure you can swing your best swing at all times.

The garments also feature UV protection technology – with a minimum 30 UPF – as well as added odour protection and quick-drying, breathable fabrics to ensure you feel fresh for the entire round.

This new collection has been designed to maximise Craghoppers’ reputation for durability and a more responsible approach to clothing production, to offer golfers functional apparel using recycled materials.

Craghoppers have created their golf apparel range with a slim silhouette and using classic colourways including shades of blue and white for men and orchid, dark grey, and white for women.

The apparel has been designed to be layered, dependent on the weather, and the collection features two lightweight jackets – one in fleece and the other in stretch jersey fabric – while there are five tops – a long-sleeved zip neck, two short-sleeved polos, one long-sleeved polo, and a long-sleeved base layer with a high neck.

The outfits are finished off with a pair of trousers each for men and women.

What’s in the range?

There are two jackets – one in fleece and one in jersey elastane – which will provide golfers with the added warmth required before, during and after your round.

Craghoppers say: “The NosiLife Bromsgrove and Belfairs Jackets are made from recycled polyester fleece and come in a slim fit so that they move with the body. The high-reach underarm panels support an improved range of motion throughout your swing. Perfect as a lightweight warmth layer on and off the course, the elasticated bound hem and cuffs and centre front zip help to keep the heat in, while three zipped pockets can carry golf balls and tees safely. The odour elimination technology synonymous with NosiLife, keep players fresh to play the game all day.”

The range also includes a great selection of base layers including the long-sleeved half zip, two short-sleeved polos and one long-sleeved polo, and a long-sleeved mock neck top, all which feature NosiLife technology.

Craghoppers say: “The NosiLife Goswick and Ivybridge Half-Zip Tops are statement pieces to wear on the course. Made from part-recycled polyester elastane, they also offer UPF 50+ sun-protection. Available in navy with a grey chest pocket for men and in white and grey with an orchid trim with a hidden security pocket for women, they have been designed to be worn throughout the game with high-reach underarm panels come as standard.”

Craghoppers say: “The NosiLife Avro and Hazelmere Short-Sleeved Polo Tops look great as well as being practical for any golfer. Available in block colourways for men and women, they are made from part-recycled polyester elastane stretch double-knit jersey and will not hinder movement with the high-reach underarm panels. The odour elimination technology here is particularly handy, especially when out in the heat, on the course, as is the UPF 50+ sun-protection. The zip neck front placket adds sporty detail to the piece.

Made from part-recycled polyester elastane lightweight stretch double-knit jersey, they offer UPF 50+ sun-protection and a button fastening at the neck. They are available in white and navy.”

Craghoppers say: “The NosiLife Long-Sleeved Mock Neck Tops are designed to be worn on their own as an extra layer under one of Craghoppers short-sleeved polo tops. Made of part-recycled polyester elastane lightweight stretch double-knit jersey, these are perfect to offer wind and sun protection (UPF50+). They are available in white and navy for men and women.”

Craghoppers say: “The slim-fit NosiLife Santos and Milla Trousers are made from part-recycled polyamide elastane to offer the flexibility required when stretching and moving during a game, while always looking smart. Available in pebble and navy for men and white and navy for women, they have plenty of pockets to carry tees, balls or your scorecard. The sunglasses wipe is unique to Craghoppers and is a really handy addition to be used to keep glasses clean. Heel tape reinforcement to the hem of the trousers give extra durability, especially if walking through rougher terrain.”
