Adidas rewinds the clock to the 70s and 80s as the iconic Trefoil logo returns to the links with the launch of the Originals Golf collection.
The iconic Trefoil logo is returning to the golf course with the launch of Adidas Originals Golf, a collection that blends heritage style with modern performance.
Inspired by the growing intersection of streetwear and golf fashion, the new range features apparel, footwear, and accessories designed for golfers who appreciate style as much as performance.
Golf has undergone a style evolution in recent years, with more players embracing looks that blend classic influences with contemporary flair. The Originals Golf collection plays into this trend, offering a mix of heritage designs and fresh innovations tailored for modern golfers.
Whether you’re drawn to the timeless appeal of the Gazelle, the sophistication of pleated pants, or the iconic styling of the Superstar spikeless golf shoe, this collection is set to make a statement both on and off the course.
The collection will provide a platform for players who want to express themselves while staying true to the game’s heritage. Originals is sure to resonate with golfers who love both tradition and trend.

A nod to Adidas’ heritage
The Trefoil logo, introduced in 1972, became a symbol of Adidas’ commitment to fashion and culture through sport. While the brand has deep roots in golf, this marks the return of its Originals identity to the game, reconnecting with past influences from the 70s and 80s while infusing contemporary trends.
The revival of Adidas Originals in golf marks an exciting moment for both fashion-conscious players and long-time fans of the brand.
While Adidas has remained a powerhouse in performance golf apparel and footwear, this move to bring back Originals Golf taps into a growing demand for retro-inspired, lifestyle-driven golf fashion.
What’s in the Collection?
The Originals Golf range delivers a premium selection of apparel and footwear for men and women, blending performance materials with retro aesthetics. The collection is designed to offer a balance between vintage styling and modern performance.

For men, the Knit Polo features a tonal argyle jacquard pattern, bringing a refined and timeless look to the fairway. The Archive Pocket Polo, made with mercerized cotton, offers a smooth, high-quality finish, blending old school cool with contemporary fabric technology.
Complementing these tops are pleated pants, designed with the signature 3 Stripes detailing, providing an elevated aesthetic with a nod to classic tailoring. To keep players comfortable throughout their round, Adidas has also introduced an argyle quarter zip pullover and a full zip jacket with a packable hood, ensuring golfers are prepared for any weather conditions.

For women, the collection delivers stylish and functional designs, including a Printed Trefoil Polo with raglan sleeves for enhanced movement and comfort. The Pleated Skort, accented with contrast color tipping, offers a blend of performance and classic femininity.
The Cashmere Knit Sweater brings luxurious warmth with subtle 3 Stripes detailing, perfect for cooler weather. Rounding out the lineup is a sleeveless dress featuring a ribbed V-neck and side zip pockets, blending sportiness with modern elegance.

Footwear Revamps
Footwear plays a major role in the collection, with Adidas reimagining some of its most recognizable sneaker designs for the golf course.
The Coursecup shoe draws inspiration from the 1986 Gold Cup, featuring a premium leather construction with classic wingtip styling. Adidas has also introduced a golf-specific version of the Gazelle, one of its most celebrated sneaker silhouettes.
Other staple sneakers have been given a golf friendly makeover, including the Stan Smith, Samba and the Superstar which will be available in a white, green, and yellow colorway, brings an unmistakable retro flair to any golfer’s wardrobe.

Complete the Look
To round out the collection, Adidas is offering a range of premium accessories that blend function with style. Golfers can complete their outfits with hats, socks, belts, and leather gloves, all designed to complement the apparel line.
These may prove to be a fan favorite! The collection features a range of headcovers, towels, and golf bags, including the standout Originals Golf Boston Bag.
Adidas on the Return of Originals to Golf
Dylan Moore, Senior Creative Director of Adidas Golf, highlighted the inspiration behind the revival of Originals Golf:
“The adidas Trefoil logo was first introduced in 1972 and represents the convergence of fashion and culture through sport. As we examined our roots in the game, we were inspired by the ways we pushed fashion on the course in the 70s and 80s and felt the time was right to reintroduce styles for golfers that are influenced by the fashion and culture of today.”
Shaun Madigan, Global Apparel Director of Adidas Golf, added:
“Our iconic Originals range has always been defined by classic styles that have transcended time. We used our heritage as our muse and created Originals Golf with that same mindset.”
Masun Denison, Global Footwear Director of adidas Golf said:
“Over the past few years, we have worked hard to bring the classic adidas silhouettes to the course in a way that will offer golfers both function and style.”
