Titleist reveal classic TSR2 and refined TSR3 hybrids
Published:
Titleist introduce TSR2 and TSR3 hybrids as they bid to be the most-played hybrid on the PGA Tour for a tenth straight year.
If you tune in to The American Express tournament this week, chances are you’ll see a host of players using Titleist’s new hybrids.
The latest addition to the TSR family, the TSR2 hybrid offers forgiving speed and performance, with the TSR3 hybrid designed for precision and workability. Titleist say both models will help make the transition from the impressive TSR woods into the hybrids seamless, a claim we’ll test when we select our best hybrids of 2023.
“TSR2 and TSR3 hybrids offer players options at the top end of the bag,” said Tom Bennett, Titleist’s Principal Product Manager Fairways & Hybrids.
“Players can choose between the more classical shape and high launch of the TSR2 or the refined profile and adjustability of the TSR3. Both clubs provide a fast, forgiving, and high-launching long-iron alternative that gives the golfer the confidence to pull off any shot.”
The TSR2, available in 18º, 21º, and 24º, is a classically-shaped, high launching, mid-low spin, forgiving long-iron replacement. It is best suited for players that deliver the club in a sweeping motion, with an extended blade length, a deeper center of gravity, and a reimagined sole shape bringing even better forgiveness and improved turf interaction than its predecessors.
The TSR3, available in 19º, 21º, and 24º, has a tour-inspired iron-like hybrid profile with a slight reduction in offset. It gives a flatter trajectory and, thanks to a new highly-adjustable 5-position SureFit Adjustable CG Track System, players can dial in their ideal setup.
A higher inertia body makes TSR3 more stable, preventing deflection and twist when playing from difficult conditions. Expect to see it in the bag of Jordan Spieth throughout the season.
Both hybrids use added sole relief pockets to create less friction and lower the chance of the club grabbing in the grass when playing from the rough.
They also feature the same head weight adjustability you’ll find in the TSR drivers and TSR fairway woods and Titleist have fine-tuned the sound and feel with feedback from their Tour stars.
Four aftermarket shaft options from Tensei and HZRDUS ensure the right fit for different players and swings.

The TSR hybrids are available for fittings and presale from February 9 and will be in stores on February 23, priced at £259 / $299.
