The new adidas range is made from recycled plastic

adidas PRIMEBLUE is better for the planet

Scientific projections show that, by 2050, the world’s oceans may contain more plastic than fish. That’s a sobering thought, and it’s the reason adidas are so determined to end plastic waste.

The new adidas’ new PRIMEBLUE range of clothing and footwear is made from upcycled plastic waste, a first in golf. The plastic waste is intercepted on remote islands, beaches, coastal communities and shorelines, preventing it from polluting the ocean. It is then turned into high-performance polyester yarn to be used in apparel and footwear.

The range features polo shirts, shorts and footwear. You’ll see adidas athletes wearing it on tour, starting at the Players Championship. It’s available to buy now at www.adidas.com and in selected retailers.

By 2024, adidas has promise to use only recycled polyester in all of its products. To see more about their pledge to end plastic waste, visit www.adidas.com/sustainability
