Can you trust golf club reviews?

We do golf club reviews you can trust
Everyone is a golf club reviewer these days.
Give anyone a video camera and a YouTube login and they can claim to be an “influencer”, hitting a handful of shots (on a launch monitor, if you’re lucky) before offering an opinion.
“IT’S NOT 50 YARDS LONGER!!!” screams a video headline in big yellow letters, as this ever-increasing number of “content creators” seek shoutier and shoutier ways of making their videos stand out from the crowd.

We’re not really like that. We’re not shouty. We’re not reviewing one club and making outlandish statements just to get more views on YouTube.
At TG, we have been reviewing golf clubs for more than 30 years (largely in print, but now more than ever online and on video). We’re all about helping you buy the best equipment for your game, by comparing all the clubs on sale this year, often multiple times, with the same players, under the same conditions indoors, using the same ball and the same Foresight GC Quad launch monitor.
Every year we conduct huge tests in all of the major categories – drivers, woods, irons, wedges, putters, balls, and so on. You can find the results of those tests here.
Equipment Editor Simon Daddow – himself a former club designer – spends his work life testing and reviewing golf equipment.
He travels to the US to conduct interviews and learn about all the new clubs from the very people who actually designed them.
He tests everything – properly tests it – and spends days upon days sifting through all the data to come up with some meaningful conclusions that will help you buy better.
If you want “SHOCK!!! THIS CLUB IS MADE OF CHEESE!!!!” head for YouTube, where hundreds of club pros will be happy to give you their opinion.
But if you want proper club testing, with proper data, proper research and a proper understanding of what each club can bring to your game, you’ve come to the right place.
