PXG signs equipment deal with Gary Player

Gary Player will be teeing up with a full set of PXG golf clubs for the Par-3 contest and ceremonial first drive at Augusta National this week
PXG announced that they have signed a new equipment deal the three-time Masters champion ahead of his appearance at Augusta National this week.
Player, 83, was a surprising new signing from the brand, but PXG say that the nine-time major winner personifies what PXG represent – and not just because he is normally seen wearing black.
“Gary Player has had one of the most remarkable careers in golf,” PXG founder and CEO Bob Parsons shared. “He personifies what PXG has set forth to accomplish – to be the finest example of excellence in the industry. I have tremendous respect for Mr. Player, and couldn’t be prouder to count him among the PXG Troops.”
The golf legend, who was 165 wins worldwide and grand-slams on both PGA Tour and Champions Tour, will play with his new clubs during the annual Par-3 contest on Wednesday, and again to hit the ceremonial tee-shot alongside Jack Nicklaus on Thursday.
Player said: “Golf is a puzzle without an answer. While I’ve been at it for years, I still haven’t the slightest idea how to play. However, I have learned that the tools you choose will go a long way toward putting together a better round. PXG clubs are my tools of choice for this chapter of my career. They are simply remarkable.”
