Callaway reveal two new Ryder Cup themed Chrome Soft golf balls

Callaway have released two limited edition Europe and USA themed Ryder Cup Chrome Soft golf balls with their popular Truvis design and a Graphene Dual-Soft Core.
Ahead of the 2018 Ryder Cup at Le Golf National, Callaway Golf have revealed two limited edition Chrome Soft golf balls in either a European or USA themed design. Both feature their popular Truvis pattern which is specifically designed to maximise your view of the golf ball for better focus and visibility.
When Callaway launched their new Chrome Soft golf balls for 2018 they said every component had been improved. They used the strongest and thinnest material known to man (graphene) to create a thinner, lighter “crash helmet” style outer core, which in turns allows a larger inner core to give more ball speed, lower spin off the tee, higher launch and exceptional mis-hit forgiveness.
In a nutshell, Callaway say the new Graphene Dual SoftFast Core results in an extremely fast and soft-feeling ball that promotes high-launch and low spin off the tee for long distance, and incredible shot-stopping spin around the green.
Dr Alan Hocknell, Senior Vice President of Research and Development at Callaway Golf, told us: “We looked at various parts of the golf ball and the functions of each, and we quickly decided that if we were going to use a material that made any part of our golf ball substantially stronger it would be in the outer core, because its role is partly to allow the inner core to be soft.”
“What we wanted to produce was an outer core that was much stronger, effectively a thinner but stronger ‘crash helmet’ for the inner core and that would allow us to make the inner core bigger.”
And now, they have repackaged their latest golf ball especially for the 2018 Ryder Cup with an RRP of £37.99 per dozen – leaving the decision up to about which team colours you choose.
