The S60 is Garmin’s new golf GPS watch for 2017 and it’s packed to the rafters with tech. It does everything you’d expect of a GPS watch, but because it has a touchscreen you can zoom into and around holes for more detail. It also has an automatic shot tracker and if you pair it with an app it will even give you the weather forecast.

Plenty of golfers like keeping it simple when it comes to GPS with just wanting basic yardages to the front, centre and back. If that’s you the WT6 is right up your street. Dynamic green views mean yardages are calculated for the angle you’re attacking the green from, which is really useful if you’re not on the fairway.

GPS tech is changing rapidly, it’s no surprise the Excel is completely new for 2017. Bluetooth means it can talk to your phone on the course so you get call alerts and noti cations. Bushnell’s new app also means you can book a tee time from your phone and get hole-by-hole flyovers.

SkyCaddie says the SW2 is the simplest way to get yardages on your wrist. Its GPS engine replaces your smartphone’s, which effectively gives more accurate yardages if you leave your phone in a golf bag. It also offers shot distances and digital scoring making it a great all-rounder for not that much.
