Skechers unveil 2017 Go Golf shoe collection

Skechers Go Golf Pro is one of five men's shoes in the 2017 collection.

They’ve been taking the US market by storm, and now Skechers have expanded their footprint in the UK market by launching an updated Go Golf shoe collection for 2017.

The US No.2 footwear brand, which is endorsed by Matt Kuchar, Russell Knox and Colin Montgomerie, has taken inspiration from their market-leading running and lifestyle divisions by introducing six technology-enhanced golf shoes.

Like its 2016 predecessor, the collection showcases some of the most eye-catching designs and colourful schemes on the market.

Comfort remains the brand’s biggest selling point and they’ve sought to push the boundaries even further in 2017 by incorporating award-winning performance technologies into every design.

Resalyte and resamax cushioning has been integrated alongside a next-generation, highly responsive cushioning foam inside the sole to provide additional support.

Durability has also been taken care of with the addition of a waterproof H2Go shield and DRI-LEX moisture management in selected models.

The entire collection is scheduled to hit UK and Ireland stores in mid-February. To help you decide which style suits you best, here’s a rundown of each shoe model …

Go Golf Pro 2 / LX – RRP £129/£142
The next generation of Skechers’ most advanced golf shoe, the Go Golf Pro 2 / LX model features 5-Gen technology and combines a classic design with replaceable spikes and H2Go Shield waterproof protection. The brand-new dynamic traction plate delivers maximum grip, while a quick-release outsole has been included to maximise stability across any terrain.

Colours (Pro 2): Black Leather & Blue Trim / Charcoal Leather & Navy Trim and White and Grey Leather & Blue Trim.

Colours (LX): Charcoal Leather & Black Trim / Grey Leather & Grey Trim.

Go Golf Elite 2 – RRP £102
The Go Golf Elite 2 unites the premium Go Golf Pro 2 upper with a spike-less designed, comfort traction outsole. Fully waterproof and equipped with H2Go Shield technology, the design integrates a durable bottom grip TPU bottom plate and GoImpulse Sensors for multi-directional traction control. A new performance based 5-Gen foam combines to offer extra comfort and stability.

Colours (Elite 2): Black Leather & Blue Trim / Grey Leather & Blue Trim / Navy Leather & Red Trim / White and Grey Leather & Blue Trim / Black Leather & Black Trim.

Go Golf Focus / Focus Collegiate – RRP £139 / £139
The Go Golf Focus is a brand-new addition to the Go Golf collection. Marketed as a sleek, lightweight stability offering within the 2017 collection, this waterproof model integrates H2Go Shield technology with a TPU bottom plate for long-lasting wear. The design also includes run-inspired 5-Gen cushioning, a Dynamic Upper Fit and replaceable SoftSpikes to enhance stability.

Colours (Focus): White and Black Synthetic & Red Trim.

Colours (Collegiate): White and Black Synthetic & Black Trim / White and Blue Synthetic & Blue Trim.

Go Golf Drive 2 / LX – RRP £79
A casual-comfort lace up golf shoe, Go Golf Drive 2 combines lightweight athletic materials with advanced GOGA Mat technology. Designed to offer the ultimate in comfort, the model features a spike-less durable rubber traction plate, a resalyte midsole insert and breathable wicking lining. The LX version is just as innovative, and comes equipped with H2Go Shield technology, 5-Gen cushioning, and a GOGA Mat insole with a Dynamic Upper Fit to help secure the foot and add stability to the golf swing.

Skechers’ cheapest men’s shoe on the market. The Go Golf Fairway is a run-inspired, lace-up golf shoe combining athletic materials with GOGA Mat, GOGA Matrix and 5-Gen performance cushioning technologies. The result is a modern look with long-lasting comfort.

Go Golf Women’s Collection

Go Golf Birdie / Birdie – Tropic / Birdie – Tour – RRP £77/£77/£92
The Go Golf Birdie offers all of the technologies and materials developed for the GoWalk. It delivers signature comfort with lightweight, responsive 5-Gen technology and a GOGA Max insole. The modern, spike-less shoe is available in three styles, including a colourful Tropic design with floral print details.
