Alex Noren and Thomas Pieters sign Nike Golf apparel deals

Eight-time European Tour winner Alex Noren and European Ryder Cup star Thomas Pieters are among the latest golfers to join Nike Golf’s athlete roster.

Noren, currently world number 10 resumes his 2017 season this week, at the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship, and said he is excited to be joining Nike.

“I had five great months on tour in 2016, but I want to use the best possible product and keep improving,”said the Stockholm-born athlete.

“I was excited to learn about the new innovations that Nike were working on in both apparel and footwear.”

On the heels of announcing that World No. 1 Jason Day has joined the Nike family, six European golf athletes, including Pietres and Noren have also committed to the Nike.

Three-time European Tour winner Alexander Levy, aged just 26, has also signed with the brand, as well as Sweden’s Kristoffer Broberg who won his maiden Tour title at the 2015 BMW Masters.

With two career victories to his name, German Alexander Knappe qualified for the main European Tour in 2017 via the European Challenge Tour along and also joins the Nike ranks for 2017 after a 3rd place finish in the road to Oman standings.

Spaniard Pep Angles, is also on Nike roster, he also qualified for European Tour in 2017 via the Challenge Tour and finished 14th respectively in the Road to Oman standings and joins the Nike ranks.

All six athletes will game Nike apparel and footwear, and have been working with Nike product and sports marketing teams in the off-season to ascertain which innovations best suit their game.

The Nike Lunar Control Vapor features the new Articulated Integrated Traction outsole technology for enhanced stability, while the new Nike Lunar Command 2 offers ultimate comfort and support.

Noren, Pieters, Levy, Broberg and Knappe will all be competing in this week’s Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship.
