Puma reveal Ignite shoes with Disc Tech
Published:
Laceless fastening tech for golf shoes is growing rapidly. Whether the trends down to golfers not having enough time to tie laces before heading to the 1st tee or humans generally getting lazier we can’t be sure but Puma are the latest top shoe brand to add a laceless model to their line-up.
Puma say the new Ignite’s disc fastening system seamlessly tightens the shoe to provide a secure and snug fit with unrivalled comfort. By turning the disc on the side of the shoe an internal wiring system tightens the upper, and the fit can be slackened just as easily. Puma aren’t just pitching the shoe at golf either, their sponsored athletes will wear a similar design at the Olympics in Rio too.
“The TitanTour Ignite Disc ensures a quick and secure fit; with a few simple turns the shoe is secure, comfortable and ready to go,” says Grant Knudson, head of footwear & accessories, Puma Golf. “We took the original Puma Disc design and customized it for golfers. The result is a sleek, simple and strong closure system that tightens using smooth, steel wires that conform to the foot.”
The limited-edition Disc shoe, comes in two colorways (Red Blast/White/Black and White/Black) and will available for £150 from 12th July. For further information visit www.cobragolf.co.uk/pumagolf
