There’s an old saying that goes, “To wish you were someone else is to waste the person you are”. Whoever said that had obviously never watched Rory McIlroy playing golf.

As golfers, we spend more time than is probably healthy wishing we could be a bit more like Rory. Whether it’s watching him win majors, rip drives on Protracer, or show a golf course who’s boss in just 10 minutes, it’s hard not to look at the 26-year-old world number three and feel a pang of jealousy. 

The struggle wasn’t helped today when we came across this video of Rory testing new Nike drivers and balls as part of the development process. 

Nike understandably value McIlroy’s input very highly, and made him an integral part of fine-tuning the Vapor Fly Pro driver and RZN Tour, both of which are in his bag for this season.
