FootJoy reveal frog inspired FreeStyle shoe

FootJoy has introduced a brand new category of golf shoe called the FreeStyle. And its got F.R.O.G.S. technology specifically to deliver exceptional performance and comfort.

FreeStyle helps generate maximum power in your swing by providing greater freedom of movement. Traction is enhanced thanks to an outsole inspired by the Red-Eyed Tree Frog, which enables the cutting-edge design to deliver great traction and grip in all weather and underfoot conditions.

Radically-styled with five colour combinations, the new FreeStyle helps those who’d benefit from increased freedom of movement to transfer energy more efficiently through the ball. FreeStyle boasts a high-traction outsole incorporating FJ’s Revolutionary Outsole Grip System (F.R.O.G.S. Technology).

Extensive testing has proven FreeStyle helps to unleash power for a wide spectrum of players, including both fast and slow swing speed golfers. FreeStyle’s natural movement and cushioning is further enhanced by a new construction method, and midsole compound which are designed to offer greater torsional flexibility.

Whilst FreeStyle allows for a more natural movement, the shoe doesn’t compromise on grip – a crucial factor in generating more power. The inspiration for this grip comes from a Red-Eyed Tree Frog which generates incredible gripping power on any surface.

F.R.O.G.S. Technology incorporates a super-flexible new SoftMax outsole that offers both a softer feel and extra grip, along with a new midsole compound thats the brand’s softest yet. The Softspikes Tour Lock system and new Pulsar cleats deliver exceptional grip with a dynamic, frog-like flex.

“FreeStyle is arguably FootJoy’s most imaginative and distinctive shoe ever and will particularly help golfers who’d benefit from increased freedom of movement when swinging the golf club,” commented Richard Fryer, FJ Sales and Marketing Director. “Research has proven that dynamic traction can be beneficial to players regardless of age, ability or speed of swing.

The Freestyle’s will come in a laced or BOA (laceless fastening system) option. Expect to see models arriving in golf shops from March 2016 priced at £135 and £150 (BOA fastening). For further information visit www.footjoy.co.uk
