Skycaddie Linx GT puts game tracking on your wrist

SkyCaddie’s new top-of-the-range Linx GT GPS watch, brings together game-tracking technology with GPS accuracy, giving you what they call a “best of everything” solution.

The core function of the Linx GT is acting as a standalone GPS watch. It features Skycaddie’s TrueGound Course Maps to give dynamic distances from wherever your ball lies to the front, centre and back of every green in its 35,000 course database, all for no annual charge.

And if you need more information than the compact wrist display shows, the watch will pair with SkyCaddie’s mobile app to give an expanded view on your phone.

But the Linx GT is so much more than just a GPS watch. It’s golf’s first rangefinder to include a built-in shot tracking system which, when combined with SkyCaddie club tags, allows golfers to track the club, location and distance of each shot they play.

SkyCaddie’s new GameTracker technology makes shot-tracking easy. The golfer merely attaches SmartTags to each club in their bag and ‘tags’ a club to their SkyCaddie Linx GT watch before taking a shot. The golfer then see’s a birds eye view of the club, location and distance of each shot overlaid on the SkyCaddie App.

“The SkyCaddie Linx GT is golf’s first rangefinder and shot tracking watch with a synchronised mobile app, giving you a powerful system to help play your best,” said Jacqui Surman, SkyCaddie’s Senior Vice-President, International Sales & Marketing, speaking from the company’s USA headquarters.

“SkyCaddie Linx GT users can discover how far they hit every club in the bag in real-world situations – as opposed to on the range, when the pressure is off. And they can also rely on golf’s most accurate GPS data and rangefinder GPS app, to give distances and views they can trust”.

The basic Linx GT package costs £229.95 including the watch. A full set of SkyCaddie Gametracker SmartTags can be bought separately for £59.95, or golfers can save by buying both the watch and tags for £269.95.
