Cleveland CG16 Tour irons

RRP: £575
LOFTS: 6-iron: 30, PW: 46

TECH TALK The CG16 Tour has the same laser-milled face as the CG16 irons and wedges. The purpose is to add surface roughness between grooves. This cavity-back iron is undercut to improve control on off-centre hits. Unlike the CG16 irons, which feature a lightweight shaft, the Tour version comes with a heavier True Temper Dynamic Gold shaft.

PLAYER COMMENTS

L “Ben Hogan is turning over in his grave that we’re considering these a players iron. That said, they are probably the easiest of all the clubs in the category to hit.”

M “The ball launches high with a nice, controlled descent. The milled lines frame the ball nicely.”

HOT The burnished finish sets this iron apart in a field of chrome. And its ample forgiveness means that heel and toe hits are more likely to find the green.

NOT Cleveland will engrave your name on the hosel if you want. Anyone taking advantage of that is banned from our foursome.
