TECH TALK Cleveland’s fairway-wood line includes three 3-woods of different lofts and launch characteristics, but with the same clubhead size and shaft length. Each club weighs about 30 grams less than a typical fairway wood. Weight is saved thanks to an especially lightweight Miyazaki shaft and Lamkin grip. A lighter club, Cleveland says, leads to more clubhead speed and longer distance.
