Ping Anser
Ping’s equipment launches have become legendary in the golf industry, such is the quality of the product, and the new Anser series – which features the company’s first adjustable driver and fairway wood – looks set to raise the bar yet again.
In addition to the new driver and fairway wood – both of which allow golfers to alter their club loft by plus or minus 0.5° – are joined in the range by a non-adjustable, but still fantastic, set of hybrids as well as a glorious set of forged Anser irons.
The summer launch also includes a new set of Tour wedges that feature Gorge Groove technology.
We’ve spoken at length to Ping’s Senior Design Engineer Marty Jertson – check out the videos and the stories for a greater in-depth look at each of the new products.
PING Anser DriverPing’s first foray into the world of adjustable drivers with the new Anser range came out of left field given the success of the G-line of drivers in the last decade. Marty Jertson is Ping’s senior design engineer and he played a crucial part in the development of the Anser driver. |

PING Anser Fairway WoodIt’s not only the new Ping Anser driver that will be making headlines thanks to adjustability, but the Anser fairway wood as well. The club is Ping’s first adjustable fairway wood and features the same trajectory tuning as the Anser driver to adjust ball flight. |

PING Anser HybridIn addition to the new Anser driver and fairway wood, Ping have also launched a hybrid to the line. The hybrids feature progressive centre of gravity locations in the lower-lofted clubs, golfers can expect a higher trajectory, but with the higher-lofted hybrids the centre of gravity is positioned further forward. |

PING Anser IronsPing’s success in the last decade in the woods market has been highly impressive, but their new Anser irons continue a fine tradition in this equipment category. The irons feature a thinner face which designers have achieved by manufacturing a supportive structure. |

PING Tour Gorge WedgePing have enjoyed some success in recent years with their excellent wedges, and now they look to have improved on previous products with the Tour wedge with Gorge Groove technology. The grooves have been milled in the world famous facility in Phoenix. |
