Zirconium-based Liquid metal: Cutting-edge technology with high-end futuristic design

At its very foundation, Huawei Watch Ultimate is created with a Zirconium-based Liquid metal body, a material akin to titanium or steel and has high-strength, high-hardness, extremely strong wear and corrosion resistance, and is known to be the hardest light alloy currently available.

The unique properties of Zirconium-based Liquid metal with its luxurious aesthetics and texture makes the material a perfect candidate for high-end devices, often found in medical-grade devices and premium luxury watches in the market.

Zirconium-based Liquid metal material is formed under rapid cooling, and is a class of alloy that developed to maintain an amorphous atomic structure in a solid state. Its fusion temperature is half that of conventional titanium alloys but when cooled, it is 4.5 times stronger and 2.5 times harder than stainless-steel . This is the result of an extremely dense internal atomic structure and an amorphous Zirconium exterior formed as a result of the cooling process.

1.5-inch LTPO AMOLED colour display with Sapphire Crystal Glass Cover

With a 1.5-inch Low-Temperature Polycrystalline Oxide (LTPO) AMOLED screen at 466×466 resolution, the smartwatch has a slim yet flexible AMOLED panel, with a cover made of high-strength sapphire glass , which is also fully laminated and wear-resistant. Meanwhile, the thickness of the central plane area of the glass is 2.35mm, with 33 precision grinding processes for the finest aesthetics.

LTPO AMOLED displays are a special backplane technology with high refresh rate and resolution, giving smartwatch users an Always-On Display (AOD) experience without draining battery levels. Its high-definition visuals also allow the screen to be seen clearly and vibrantly even underwater or during night-time hikes in areas with poor lighting.

New Dual-Colour Nano-Tech Ceramic Bezel showcases precision craftsmanship

Huawei Watch Ultimate’s nano-tech Ceramic Bezel is made of nano-microcrystalline ceramics, using over 24 processing techniques, CNC precision machining and fine engraving of its precise internal structure. Ceramic brings the characteristics of scratch and corrosion resistance, with over 6 to 7 times harder than stainless steel, while having the lustre akin to gemstones.

The latest Golf Edition comes with a new Dual-Colour Nano-Tech Ceramic Bezel – exclusive to this new colourway. The new Dual-Colour Nano-Tech Ceramic Bezel requires more precise control over the material proportioning. It also underwent a more complex manufacturing process, using a dozen more types of raw materials, processes and parameters. The dual-tone moulding process ensures that the two types of powders bond well and controls the boundary colour mixing in the end product. After pressing and joining, the bezel undergoes high-temperature firing above 1,400℃ for 7 days, followed by flat grinding, arc grinding, CNC, coating, and polishing, taking a total of approximately 45 to 50 days.

A woven strap is now an option for the Huawei Watch Ultimate

New Dual-colour Integrated Woven Strap

Huawei also launched the industry’s first dual-colour Integrated woven strap. Designed to be exquisite, antibacterial, water-resistant and breathable, Huawei uses a warp and twill weaving technique to achieve this through the use of over 800 strands of yarn, ensuring good consistency in yarn organisation and effectively balancing the strap’s thickness and softness .
The Golf Edition also comes with two additional straps:

  • Deep green HNBR strap: The unique Hydrogenated Nitrile Rubber (HNBR) strap, often used in traditional luxury watches for the contemporary and sophisticated look. The material has excellent anti-wear and water-resistant properties, as well as high tensile strength that prevents it from tearing and breaking when elongated. Its flexible design and elasticity make it lightweight and comfortable on the skin when worn.
  • Premium Titanium strap: The premium titanium alloy strap, available for both, has twice the durability of a stainless steel and is also much lighter in weight. The material also has extremely high compression resistance and high strength; with a natural oxide layer on the surface, the watch has a strong corrosion resistance even when exposed to seawater with high salt content for a long time. Additionally, the titanium alloy’s low thermal conductivity, which means it can bear a wide range of water temperatures.

Find Your Next Ace with Real-Time Distance Measurement

The new update on the Huawei Watch Ultimate offers Real-Time Distance Measurement by utilising the Precision Dual-Frequency Five-System GNSS, enhancing your golfing experience with high-precision positioning. Exclusive to the Huawei Watch Ultimate, it accurately shows your distance from the front, centre, and back of the green, as well as from obstacles. This helps in selecting the right clubs and planning your shots. You can see how far the green is on the map based on the point you picked, ensuring you always have the information you need at your fingertips.

It also features Slope Compensated Distance functionality, which considers the slope of the fairway to display an adjusted distance. This is crucial as the slope affects where the ball lands, providing a more accurate measurement.

Together with data-driven features such as Green Distance Measurement, Obstacle Distance Measurement, Wind Speed and Wind Direction, Green View, Obstacle View, Panoramic View and Fairway View, Huawei Watch Ultimate delivers real-time data to enable golfers to strategize their next shot, planning ahead and make informed decisions to ensure that every shot counts.

The Huawei Watch Ultimate has an AI Caddie feature

Excel with the Brand-New AI Caddie

AI Caddie brings intelligent recommendations for users based on the shot distance for each club as entered by the users on the Huawei Health App prior to the games, current hole position, obstacles, terrain, and trajectory feedback to intelligently recommend direction and area to aim the ball towards, and the appropriate club for the next shot.

Rich Data Analysis and Sharing

The new updates to the Rich Data Analysis and Sharing introduces several innovative features aimed at enriching data analysis and enhancing ease of sharing, offering golfers a more comprehensive and enjoyable experience with their Huawei Watch Ultimate.

One of the new features is the Scorecard Operations feature, exclusive to the Huawei Watch Ultimate. This allows users to score the putts on the green in the completed round directly on the scorecard. By providing a detailed and accurate record of putting performance, this feature enables golfers to better understand their strengths and areas for improvement. This precise tracking aids in refining putting techniques, leading to lower scores and more enjoyable rounds of golf.

After finishing a half round of nine holes, users can access the brand-new Half Scoring Report. Users can check their score overview and saved progress on this report, which also allows for easy switching between courses. The half scoring report is particularly beneficial as it provides mid-game insights, enabling golfers to adjust their strategies and improve their performance in the second half of their round.

The Huawei watch looks like a great golf accessory for the course

Driving Range Mode

Driving Range Mode allows for the Huawei Watch Ultimate to detect the backswing time, downswing time, swing tempo, and swing speed, during swing practices at the driving range. This real-time analysis aids golfers in finding their ideal speed and cadence, ensuring a more efficient and effective practice session.

Breaking the Industry’s Water resistance Performance Limits: Supports true 100-meter meter dive-level water resistance capability

Huawei Watch Ultimate achieves true 100-meter meter dive-level water resistance capability through a comprehensive 16-layer waterproof structure, verified by high-standard tests, making it the industry’s first smart watch supporting 100-meter diving with audio functions, allowing explorers to delve deeper.

When diving, the watch’s display turns into a panoramic monitor of your diving statistics and remains always-on for safety and consistency. Compared with the MIP screen of traditional dive watches, it adopts LPTO AMOLED high-definition flexible screen. This produces richer colours and higher resolution, that are both visible even the underwater, so much so that the scales remain clear enough to read even when submerged. Furthermore, with revolutionary waterproof technology, this is Huawei’s first 10ATM smart watch that supports diving of up to 100m.

New Offline Contour Maps with Dim Mode Support

The latest update supports for downloading of Contour Maps for offline use. Contour Maps are especially useful as they help you identify terrain plan routes and allocate supplies accordingly.

The new map interface boasts a refreshed layout and colour scheme, offering a more intuitive experience. Routes and key points are displayed in distinct colours, making navigation clear and straightforward. During navigation, the route ahead is highlighted in orange, while the path already travelled turns blue. Automatic and manual marking of points ensures precise tracking, despite GPS limitations.
