The best bargain in golf: A full golf outfit for less than £100!

Quality products at an affordable price, I ordered a Druids Ambassador Pack to see if it’s worth the money
Golf is often branded as one of the most expensive sports because you need to spend money on specific equipment including golf clothing. However, Druids are combatting that narrative by offering an Ambassador Pack which consists of six items for just £99.
The beauty of the Druids Ambassador Pack is that you build an entire outfit. Each of the six items are completely different allowing you to piece together the perfect golf outfit for any eventuality of your choosing.
I decided to go with the Druids Members Jacket, being a thermal golf jacket it’s ideal for cold days on the golf course – which are more frequent than I would like, but that’s the price you pay playing at Cleveland Golf Club on the North East coast of England.
The Members Jacket is padded but the sleeves aren’t. I specifically like this design because it has all the functionality to keep you warm and the functionality to enable you to swing without any restrictions.
The second garment I chose was the Druids Condor Sweatshirt. The reason I opted for this over any of the midlayers or golf hoodies (which would potentially be a more popular preference for most golfers) is because with this sweatshirt you have the option of wearing it with or without a polo shirt underneath.
The condor was probably the product I was least impressed with in terms of quality. There were a number of loose threads that I easily cut, but even the feel of this sweatshirt definitely doesn’t feel as premium as the other products in my Ambassador Pack.
Next up in my Ambassador Pack is the Druids Honeycomb Polo Shirt. Up close it’s very easy to see the honeycomb pattern in this polo shirt, but from farther away (depending on your eyesight) you might mistake it for a plain block color. The color I chose is Ocean but I wouldn’t classify it as that on my personal color chart!
This is by no means a poor-quality polo shirt, but if I could go back in time and choose a different polo shirt I would. It’s more to do with the feel against my skin, I’d prefer something slightly softer. As far as I’m concerned, the Druids Honeycomb Polo Shirt isn’t challenging any of the best golf polo shirts.
I was tempted to add a pair of shorts in my Ambassador Pack given the time of year, but I refrained given where I am situated in the world. We do have warm days in the North East of England but we are much more susceptible to cold days, hence why I decided to order a pair of pants instead – specifically golf joggers.
I’m not a massive fan of the Druids Men’s Golf Joggers because of how they look on me more than anything else, there’s nothing wrong with the product, it’s just I prefer traditional golf pants.
With the fifth item in Druids’ Ambassador Pack, you have the choice of either a hat/cap or a belt. Given that my head is about the size of a Baseball (not really but it is small) I chose to skirt past the hats and caps and settled on the Druids Tour Pro Belt which sadly is too big for my 30″ waist.
The belt is of really good quality, which I probably shouldn’t have been as surprised about as I was when I took it out of its wrapper. If you have a larger waist than I do, I would recommend the belt. I truly am gutted that it hangs off me even on the last belt hole.
The final item you can add to your Ambassador Pack is a pair of socks, but this isn’t as anticlimactic as it may sound. I know what you might be thinking – what can be so impressive about a pair of socks? However, as someone who’s played golf and worked in golf for nearly 10 years, I’ve had the pleasure of wearing some outstanding golf socks (weird flex I know), and Druids’ Tour Ankle Socks are right up there with some of the best golf socks I’ve worn.
There isn’t too much to discuss when it comes to golf socks, as long as they’re soft and comfortable they’re onto a winner! Druids have definitely nailed the soft and comfortable element with their socks.
Overall, I was incredibly impressed with the Druids Ambassador Pack. Not only because I’ve been able to build an entire golf outfit for £99, but also because of the quality of the products. Sure, there were a couple of loose threads that needed cutting but you can find this with individual products that cost more than £99.
The Scottish-based brand clearly isn’t held in the same regard as TravisMathew, Peter Millar, or J. Lindeberg but Druids have one mission of delivering quality products at affordable prices and they’re succeeding.
