Since turning professional in 2017, Bob MacIntyre has made quite an impression on both sides of the Atlantic Ocean. The Scotsman is a two-time winner on the DP World Tour, and he’s won as many tournaments playing on the PGA Tour.
The man from Oban tasted victory for the second time on the PGA Tour by winning his home Open at The Renaissance Club in fantastic fashion, trickling in the winning putt on the 72nd hole to win by one stroke over Adam Scott.
The Scotsman started playing full-time on the PGA Tour at the start of the 2024 season. It was a tough start to life across the pond for MacIntyre, but he achieved his first victory on the PGA Tour at the 2024 RBC Canadian Open by one stroke over America’s Ben Griffin.
Bob’s maiden victory on the DP World Tour came at the 2020 Aphrodite Hills Cyprus Showdown. His second victory on European soil was at Marco Simone Golf and Country Club in the 2022 DS Automobiles Italian Open, beating Matt Fitzpatrick in a play-off at the host venue for the 2023 Ryder Cup.
MacIntyre made his Ryder Cup debut in 2023, where he excelled as a rookie, taking 2.5 points from a possible 3 up for grabs.
MacIntyre plays under a 10-club deal with Titleist, meaning the majority of his setup features Titleist gear. But he’s not fully tied down – he rounds out his bag with a TaylorMade AeroBurner 3-wood that dates back to 2015, and a TaylorMade Spider Tour X putter, showing he’s happy to mix and match when performance matters most.
