What golf clubs does Race to Dubai champion, Ryder Cup legend and 25-time European Tour winner Lee Westwood use?
Lee Westwood became the oldest player to win the European Tour’s order of merit title in December, his third Race to Dubai crown at the age of 47 years, seven months and 20 days coming 20 years after his first success.

It ended a marvellous year for the Englishman, who began the year by winning his 25th European Tour title in Abu Dhabi.
But what is the secret to Westwood’s longevity and how does a man who has topped the world rankings and achieved so much manage to stay motivated?

“I get up each day and do the job I love,” he said. “I’ve always wanted to be a golfer and I don’t want it to end, so I’m prepared to keep working hard and put myself in the line of fire and try to get into contention in tournaments.
“It’s where I’m most comfortable and what I love doing. I love the work away from the course and the gym and on the range, the hard work that people don’t see, I love that. I don’t need to motivate myself very often.”
In terms of his equipment, the ten-time Ryder Cup player has been with Ping for most of his life.
“I’ve been with Ping for 31 or 32 years since I was invited as a 14-year-old to the factory at Gainsborough – that’s where it all started with me with my first set of clubs,” smiles Westwood. “It’s been like a family relationship since, and a couple of guys there have even been around longer than me!”

Ping didn’t even have a tour truck when Westwood made his European Tour debut in 1994, so it’s fair to say golf equipment has changed significantly during his professional career.
