Footjoy Golf Shoes User Reviews

  • 1 out of 5 Footjoy Hydrolite Spike Problems

    By Johnc

I have had these shoes for over a year and whilst comfortable to wear and good to look at I frequently have had spikes go missing on the course. Two of the cleats are deformed from stones and so replacements spikes can't be fitted. I've just returned from a golf trip to Portugal and on the harder, drier grass I lost 3 spikes in one shot. The shop was a Footjoy retailer but didn't have this style of spike and so I played for most of the trip with 4 spikes missing on 1 shoe and 3 on the other.

  • 1 out of 5 Spike fitting system

    By Frustated

I recently purchased a pair of hydrolite shoes and decided to replace the cleats with spikes only after I purchased the spikes did I realise the fitting system has altered, now I have no idea what the new system is called , or even if they make spikes or not!

  • 2 out of 5 Shoe ok but spike fixings very poor

    By Simmo

Had my pair since end of May and all ok until I lost a spike on the heel. The cleat fixing must be made of soft plastic and it deformed by just walking on the stone paths of the course so now new spikes can't be fitted into that cleat. Have taken them back to the retailer who is speaking with Footjoy, all very negative at the moment.

  • 3 out of 5 Hydrolite

After using the new Hydrolite shoes they seemed fine at first but then the cleats started to come out. When I enquired at the pro shop they didn't even know that the cleat type had changed. And two other pro shops didn't have them in stock either. The new fitting is not secure and they come undone with normal use. I have e mailed Footjoy to ask for their comments. Check before you buy.
