Technology
Is this the best-looking FootJoy shoe of recent years? We think so – and it’s brimming with new technology to improve performance. The D.N.A. (Dryjoys Next Advancement) is a more athletic extension of the traditional DryJoy. The low-profile outsole design puts your foot closer to the ground, while a newly-positioned cleat at the toe has been moved more to the inside to stay in contact with the ground for longer. FootJoy says this leads to more efficient energy transfer. FootJoy believes that, ounce for ounce, the 420g D.N.A. will be its best-performing shoe on the market. “Best-performing doesn’t necessarily mean the lightest,” Jeremy Baldwin, FootJoy’s Director of Product management, told TG. “The lighter you go, you start taking things away and making compromises. We believe D.N.A. is the right weight.”
Available in five designs, one also available with BOA laces (£165).
Tested
As reviewed in our 2014 Shoes Test: There’s more toe space than you think, intended to allow them to splay and help stability. The grip is excellent, although you might not be a fan of seeing the front cleat poking out. Very comfy. You notice padding underfoot and around the ankle and the grip is superb without marking greens. Tend to come out large; most will need to come down a size.

These are the most comfortable shoes i have ever worn, but they fell apart after 4 months. Also there is a problem with from cleats as these keep coming out. For a lot of money you get a poor quality shoe which you will need to replace sooner rather than later.

These shoes are the most comfortable I have bought even straight out of the box. They provide excellent traction in all types of weather. I know that they are expensive when compared to other makes but they are worth every penny. They get 10/10 from me!

Had these shoes for three weeks and they split. Very comfortable and great traction but not sure if they are built for the long term.
