What we say...
2013 Shoe Test
CJ: Lots of grip, stylish and comfortable – but not “golfy” enough for me to play in.
JT: Feet heaven. Incredibly soft feel and look stylish.
Ecco has expanded its award-winning Golf Street collection to include new styles, materials and colours for 2013. Now offered in Sport, Luxe, Textile, Camel and Premier categories, each Golf Street model showcases a patented outsole design consisting of approximately 100 moulded traction bars and 800-plus traction angles. Constructed from TPU – a highly durable, wear-resistant material – these elements provide superior grip in all conditions.
“Golf Street completely reshaped the footwear market by challenging the notions that a golf shoe had to look a certain way and be sport-specific,” says Michael Waack, Head of Global Golf at Ecco. “Four years since it wasfirst introduced, it’s become a classic style that simply evolves with each season.”
Ecco is Graeme McDowell’s choice of footwear. Here are the new models for 2013:
Sport (pictured) - A brand new upper pattern featuring tactile embellishments and Hydromax treated leathers for superior weather and perspiration resistance.
Luxe - Crafted from “lizard” leather and treated with HydroMax. RRP: £130 Textile: An athletic look is enhanced by performance textile uppers and a highly-breathable aero lining.
Camel - This design is distinguished by luxurious camel leather uppers treated with Hydromax.
Premier - Features subtle material enhancements, including rich, Hydromax-treated leather.
