Yonex Cyberstar T-1 wedge Review

Colin Montgomerie has played a part in the rounded design of Yonex’s new Cyberstar T-1 wedge, and he has already put it into play on the European Tour this season. This club is available with either a steel or graphite shaft and we really enjoyed using the graphite version, which allowed us to play shots with extra aggression to impart more spin, ensuring balls sat down quickly on full shots. Feel was good on half and three-quarter shots, too. Yonex isn’t everyone’s first choice for a decent wedge, but this is surprisingly good.

Made in mild carbon steel for superior feel, designed in conjunction with Colin Montgomerie.

The T-1 wedge features an 8620 mild carbon steel head for great feel, maximum spin and distance control.

The head is complemented by a True Temper Dynamic Gold S300 steel shaft or a specially-designed Yonex Graphite wedge shaft.

Introduced in 2007 the T-1 has remained a firm favourite. It was created for Yonex tour professional Colin Montgomerie and has been manufactured to produce all the characteristics and versatility he is looking for around the green.
