What we say...

The Wilson Infinite wedge has been designed to instill confidence and offer forgiveness without losing control and feel you’d expect from a more compact club head

Finding the best wedge for your game can massively improve your scores, and I believe the Wilson Infinite wedge is a club most golfers would benefit from if they put it in play. This wedge is massively confidence-inspiring, feels great, and looks amazing – what more do you want?

Wilson have majorly stepped up their game in 2025, from the drivers (including the outstanding Dynapower Carbon) to the new Infinite wedges, which, have I mentioned, look insanely good.

I get that looks aren’t everything, so it’s a good job the Infinite wedges are backed up by solid performance. Unlike the Titleist Vokey SM10 and Callaway Opus, you probably won’t see many Tour pros slotting the Infinite wedges into their golf bags, but does that mean you shouldn’t?

Looks / Feel

I found it very difficult not to award the Wilson Infinite wedges full marks for looks and feel, but in the end, I settled on 4.5. You might find that odd, considering how highly I rate the visual and sensory aesthetics, but there is one issue with the onyx finish… It doesn’t last. Over time, the black finish does wear away, which might not be an issue for everyone, but for me, I think it makes the wedge look tired quicker.

The satin finish is glare-resistant, which is something I really appreciate, playing the bulk of my golf on the sunny Teesside Riviera! In all seriousness, the glare resistance is great if you do play the majority of your golf in the sun, and even on the sunny days at Cleveland Golf Club, I do appreciate it when I’m not being blinded standing over a fiddly chip shot.

Precision-milled grooves of the Wilson Infinite wedge

However, I think I’d manage with the Infinite even if I was being blinded because it’s extremely forgiving and confidence-inspiring behind the golf ball. Like all golfers, I’ve had my issues with a wedge in hand, so having a wedge that makes you believe you’ll be serving a shot like Min Woo Lee is everything. With the Wilson Infinite wedge, I don’t think I’ve ever looked at it at address and feared the shot that lies ahead, even if there’s a bunker in the way and the pin’s tucked close (bad course management putting myself there in the first place… I KNOW!)

The precision-milled grooves are what makes the Infinite wedge feel so good. The level of spin the Infinite wedge can deliver (golf ball depending) is incredible. The control and playability of this wedge is good enough for a golfer of any skill level. At address, you can’t even tell this is a cavity back design wedge, and it definitely doesn’t feel clunky.

Technology

The technology packed inside the Wilson Infinite wedge is geared up to make it easier for you to play full shots, pitch shots, chip shots, bunker shots, fishing your golf ball out of the pond… just me?

The TPU insert has been placed in the middle of the cavity to deliver an incredibly soft feel while also allowing strategic distribution of mass, creating a lower center of gravity and increasing MOI for more forgiveness and easier launch.

As well as providing a soft feel off the face, the precision-milled grooves allow for a deeper, longer ball-to-face contact, resulting in high spin in all conditions. This means that whether you’re playing out of the rough, bunker, fairway, or gorse (okay, maybe not), you’ll be able to fly the ball to the green, and it’ll hold.

The Wilson Infinite wedge is extremely confidence-inspiring

The wide sole design and larger head provides maximum forgiveness on every turf and lie condition. Obviously, if you completely mishit the ball, the Infinite wedge isn’t going to save you. However, if you’re slightly off, you’ll get away with it, and even if you know it wasn’t a good shot, your playing partners will think you’ve turned into prime Seve.

The Infinite wedge is full of necessary technology to improve your short game. However, the reason I’ve awarded the Infinite 4 out of 5 for technology is because of the lack of bounce options. There is only standard bounce available and four loft options (48°, 52°, 56°, and 60°), which will suit the majority of golfers, but not everyone.

Performance

I honestly can’t award the Wilson Infinte wedge anything less than full marks for performance, it does everything you want from a wedge. Putting aside looks, feel, and technology, this is a wedge you can’t fault. Whether you’re playing a full shot with the gap wedge or a little 10-yard dink over a bunker, this wedge delivers.

Spin, control, and distance are exactly where I would expect them to be. Obviously, with this being a cavity back design wedge, it’s very forgiving, which does help. However, that doesn’t mean you can slap the ball around, and it’ll finish in the hole or just next to it every time. You still have to make good contact, but it’s much easier with the Infinite in hand than other wedges I’ve played.

The glare resistant Wilson Infinite wedge

I’m not saying the Wilson Infinite is the best wedge I’ve ever played with, but it’s definitely right up there, and it’s certainly one for every golfer to consider. The performance is 100 percent capable of challenging models you see on Tour.

Overall

As I’ve just mentioned, I don’t view the Wilson Infinite wedge as being a world beater and the answer to everyone’s short game woes, but it deserves a place among the best wedges because it’s super forgiving, massively confidence-inspiring, and looks phenomenal.

I get that black wedges might not be for everyone, but they really don’t look out of place in your golf bag alongside a steel iron set. For the price, they’re a brilliant option, and they deserve to be considered alongside Vokey, Ping, Callaway, and TaylorMade wedges.

I would happily game a full set of Infinite wedges because they are bound to improve my confidence level, which in turn is going to help improve my scores – and I think it would do the same for you.
