What we say...
Modern golfers demand wedges that look nice: oil can, nickel and rusty finishes are all the rage, but Srixon has taken the trend a step too far with the featureless Srixon WG-504 wedge. With the club behind the golf ball, there’s nothing to look at or focus your attention on except the gunmetal finish.
Even the grooves seem to disappear. The light swingweight and low bounce are perfect for nipping shots off tight lies, although, surprisingly, it didn’t spin as much as expected. Srixon has put a good amount of design into this golf club, but it is let down by the finish.
Forged out of soft carbon steel with a glare-reducing gunmetal finish. Classic shape and address profile preferred by better players.
