What we say...
Named after the town where Seve honed his skills, the wedge’s test debut was impressive. The MD Golf Seve Pedrena Wedge offers a total package of performance and drop-dead looks.
Weight has been removed from the sole to reduce drag and to create a thumbprint effect and reduce turf resistance. The testers loved the performance, especially around the greens.
To balance out the centre of gravity Seve has taken the same amount of metal from the top of the club by way of a unique bevel. This ensures the balance of the club is perfect. The club is finished in dark gunmetal with Seve’s name sand blasted into the cavity.
John didn’t miss from 65 yards and Tony liked the consistency of strike too, although he struggled for distance unless he really “ripped it”. This obviously led to a compromise on feel, but overall the Pedrena was a club that all enjoyed using. The dark gunmetal finish was another plus point.
The MD Golf Seve Ballesteros Pedrena Wedge lacked overall distance but is great around the greens.
