What we say...
Maruman was a big name in equipment a few years ago, and 2006 saw the re-introduction of its high-quality Japanese wares to the UK market. The Maruman KS heads have a striking two-tone satin finish, and the first four grooves and bottom portion of the face are milled to impart more spin.
However, we regularly hit the golf ball above this area, so this made no difference. The head’s traditional teardrop shape has been exaggerated to the extent that it’s more off-putting than confidence-inspiring. Solid performance, but difficult to recommend.
With the lower portion of the face and grooves milled expect good spin with this teardrop shaped wedge.
