What we say...
A massively rounded head means the face of the Lynx 8620 wedge looks onset: the leading edge is in front of the hosel, which zapped any confidence we had of clipping balls cleanly off the ground with a descending blow.
We struggled to roll the face open to hit high-lofted shots, because the sole of the wedge is quite flat and uncompromising, but this wouldn’t be a problem if you had no intention of hitting such shots.
Feel was as good as anything else, and we had no issue with how the average swingweight let us attack the golf ball; it’s just the head shape and design that lost it marks.
Hand-forged from heat-treated mild carbon steel to ensure tight tolerances and consistency. Classic design, with high heel and shallow toe.
