It's wider sole is likely to bounce into the equator of the golf ball.
What we say...
The Ben Sayers M1 has a wider sole which means it performs well from sand, digging down to flop balls out without going too deep. It may not be the best wedge on hard summer lies, because its wider sole is likely to bounce into the equator of the golf ball.
But there’s no doubting this golf club could be beneficial to anyone prone to shanking – it has an anti-shank hosel, which minimises the effect of any shot coming into contact with this area of the club. Put aside the funny groove pattern and you have a wedge that performs okay for an extremely reasonable price.
Feel: 2.5 Sand: 3.5 Half shots: 3
The Ben Sayers M1 Wedge features an anti-shank design, confidence-building shape and great feel. Good wedge for all levels.
