What we say...
Tech:
A compact hybrid for iron like control with more distance. An active recoil channel helps maintain ball speeds across the face for when shots are hit off centre. The compact profile means extra launch and trajectory control for golfers who attack shots aggressively with their hybrids.
Our verdict:
The narrower head of the H2 is designed for golfers who attack their hybrids aggressively and engage the turf at impact much like hitting an iron. The choice between this and Titleist’s H1 is typical of what golfers face when picking hybrids. The narrower body’s a little less forgiving but in our opinion looks nicer at address. Put aside looks and the H2 performed right in and amongst its peers. Against the H1 it produced very similar numbers apart from launching lower and reaching a lower peak height which has to say for golfers wanting ultimate control and a penetrating flight the H2 should be high on your list of hybrids to demo.
Bottom line:
A very solid hybrid, the narrower body makes it more attractive to golfers who hit down and through their hybrids just like an iron. With so many excellent quality components on offer from Titleist you’d be foolish not to get fitted, to ensure you get your perfect set up.
