Technology
At just 99cc in size, the R15 Rescue has a smaller, Tour-inspired head shape that offers better playability from more lies. Also features a three-way adjustable loft sleeve up or down by up to 1.5°.

Looks Certainly one of the smallest hybrids on the market that won’t instil feelings of confidence at address for most abilities of golfer. That said, better players won’t mind the size and will enjoy the extra playability.

Feel/Sound
As solid as the driver in the range at impact, an explosive thud at impact with limited vibration up the shaft. Lovely.

Forgiveness
Because the shape is quite square, there’s a surprising amount of clubface to strike the ball with from top-to-bottom, less so from heel-to-toe. But fears over a lack of forgiveness didn’t materialise into significant loss of distance on mishits. In fact, it was more helpful than I expected on poor-ish strikes.

Performance
Once you get past how small it is and hit a few shots, the performance will be enough to give it serious consideration for your bag. It packs a punch for a such a small Rescue club, matching other brands’ bigger models for distance with a strong mid-high flight, which can be fine-tuned further via the adjustable loft sleeve. What the size offers over its competitors is versatility. Game improvers will find it intimidating at address, but good players will have no problem shaping it and hitting it off the tee or fairway.
