What we say...
Hybrids are big business, the pros are rapidly realising their usefulness and even Open champion Padraig Harrington carries a couple in his bag. So its no surprise Ping want to capitalize and have a desirable range which out performs the competition. So we’re delighted to say the G10 Hybrids are ticking all the right boxes.
By using a scooped crown with a wider body than Ping’s other hybrids the centre of gravity can be located lower and deeper. Which helps produce higher trajectories and greater consistency over long irons. One of Ping’s main objectives when designing the range was to blend the distance gaps between a golfers irons and hybrids better. As we’re more confident with Hybrids golfers tend to hit them further thus leaving bigger yardage gaps when stepping down to hit a mid iron. They’ve achieved this by playing about with lofts, so the six iron rescue has 1.5° more loft than a standard six iron. And yes you can replace all your long irons and fairway woods down to the seven iron with a hybrid if you desire!
Thanks to the array of technology used in the golf industry Ping have been able to analyse exactly how their Hybrids ball flight compares to a long iron. If the average golfers 10 yard carry distance gain, 5mph ball speed gain, 12 feet overall height gain, 20 feet less roll on landing and 4° steeper landing angle don’t convince you its time to give a hybrid a try we reckon your seriously missing out on a trick! Basically all this adds up to them being easier to hit higher more consistently and when they land you get more control, how’s that for the perfect golf club!

I bought a 24 degree G10 rescue last year (TFC stiff) after a custom fitting session at Ping, Gainsborough. I loved it using it out of the rough, off fairways and the tee. But after a few months I started struggling with a hook. Anyway, I went back to Ping this year for another custom fitting session principally for a set of S57 irons but I was also fitted for an 18 degree G10 rescue too. As it turned out I was recommended the Proforce V2 stiff on this club. Oh well I thought, I can Ebay or trade in my 24 degree and get one with the V2 shaft - but no - the fitter said to me "were you custom fitted for this club?". "Yes" I replied. "Leave it with me and I'll have it re-shafted and returned to your pro, no charge" he said. I hadn't even thought of asking! Now I have two G10 rescues in the bag and I love hitting them both. And a big thank you to Ping for not only a great club but service above and beyond the call of duty. Buy Ping!!

Tried this out at a local driving range that has a golf shop attached. It was straight forward to hit as long as you slow down, went 220+. I bought it for £109 and have used it a lot as a chip and run, from semi/fairway/tee one of my favorite clubs. I would tell anyone to test this if looking for a hybrid

I went into my local club pro shop at the weekend and asked to have a crack with the cobra baffler and was sure i was going to add it to my bag, my pro asked me to have a go with the new ping g10 rescue. After hitting 10 balls with each club i was amazed at how straight and how far the ping g10 went! i'm a low handicapper but my freind who is a high handicapper can still hit it very well. I have the 21 degree version and in goes consitantly around the 200 yard mark so it is perfect for par 4s or long par 3s off the tee. Basically buy one! XD Chris

This club is just what the doc ordered, great flight, good distance control & very easy to shape shots with. Well done Ping

I had a shot of the new hybrid 24 degree at American Discount. This would be the equivalent of a 4 iron. I found this a very easy club to hit and being a high handicapper even when i didn't strike exactly in the sweet spot the ball flight was straight and with a reasonable amount of distance. The ball flies of the clubface with plenty of loft and at least 20 yards more than my 4 iron. I also tried the r7 draw 25 degree but for me the Ping G10 didn't have as fat a feel when hitting the ball. Definately going to replace my 3 and 4 irons with these.
